This page explains how to delete your Cast İstanbul account and personal data. Account deletion can be done via the website or the mobile app.
1. Deletion from Within the App / Site
After logging in, follow the steps Profile → Delete Account. Once your request is received, your account will be permanently deleted within 30 days. If you log in again during this period, the deletion request will be cancelled and your account will be restored.
2. If You Have an Active Subscription — Cancel It First
Deleting your account does NOT automatically cancel a subscription you started through the App Store or Google Play. If you do not cancel your subscription, you may continue to be charged through the store. Cancel your subscription yourself by following these steps:
- iPhone/iPad: Settings → Your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Cast İstanbul → Cancel Subscription. (Direct link: App Store Subscriptions)
- Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Cast İstanbul → Cancel subscription. (Direct link: Google Play Subscriptions)
3. Deletion by Request
If you cannot access the app, you may send an "account deletion" request to info@castistanbul.com from the email address or phone number registered to your account. Your request will be processed following identity verification.
4. Data That Will Be Deleted
- Your profile, photos and videos,
- Your contact information (name, email, phone),
- Your messages, applications and preferences.
5. Data Retained for Legal Purposes
Records required to be retained by law (such as payment/invoice records) will be kept only to the extent required by the relevant legal retention periods and will be deleted/anonymised at the end of those periods.
